Yasmine is currently working on her debut album which will be released by record label Infinite Records in 2023.
Background
At age 17 Yasmine started her career by working for Helsinki City Theater, doing the lead role in High School Musical on Stage. Since then she has worked in many productions from Spring Awakening to being the first black Eliza Doolittle in Finland.
Yasmine is the Finnish voice of Disney Moana and one of the most booked voice over talents in the country.
In 2012 Yasmine Yamajako featured on the number one selling radio hit “Syypää sun hymyyn”.
You may have also spotted her singing backing vocals for Finnish top artists such as Cheek, Jari Sillanpää, Laura Voutilainen and Saara Aalto.
Yasmine’s up comming music could be described as alternative pop with an R&B twist. Her melodies are influenced by singer divas of the 90's, which creates a feeling of nostalgia, balanced by a jagged and modern sound production.
Playing with contrasts creates a recognizable and authentic style for the upcoming debut release. The album will document steps through glass roofs towards strengthening the experience of self-worth.
